Project team members Markéta Švarcová and Alžběta Mangarella presented the project's findings at the 38th Annual Conference of the Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics (SASE), held in Bordeaux.
In their paper, Stakeholders, Involuntary Entrepreneurship and Path-Dependent Transformation in Czech Platform Work, they examined the Czech case of platform work regulation from a broader socio-economic perspective. Drawing on a discourse analysis of the implementation of the EU Platform Work Directive in the Czech Republic, the presentation explored how stakeholder positions, institutional conditions, and historical labour market developments shape the country's emerging regulatory framework.
The conference provided an opportunity to share the project's findings with the international research community and to discuss the Czech experience with leading scholars in socio-economics, labour markets, and platform work regulation.
