As a guest at the MoLSA Employment Forum 2025 and in the Podcast On the Waves of Labour and Social Affairs

Sociologist Markéta Švarcová was a guest at the Employment Forum 2025 – People, Innovation, and Change: How to Build a Flexible Labour Market?, organized by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (MoLSA). In the panel New Forms of Work, the discussion focused on how the labour market is changing — traditional employment relationships are increasingly complemented by freelancing, platform work, and remote employment. Together with other guests — Kryštof Radek (Kyndryl), Simona Sochorová (Rohlik.cz), Kristýna Cejnarová (Mumdoo), and Jan Mašek (Red Button) — Švarcová discussed how companies and public institutions can adapt to these new forms of work, and what challenges and risks arise from flexible employment, remote work, and international labour mobility. In her contribution, she emphasised the need to strengthen social protections for people working through digital platforms, as the flexibility often promoted by these models frequently conceals insecurity and a lack of labour rights.

Markéta Švarcová also appeared as a guest in the MoLSA podcast On the Waves of Labour and Social Affairs, where she discussed the impacts of digitalization on working conditions and the importance of the EU Directive on Platform Work.
