Markéta Švarcová, a member of our team, was invited by the editorial team of Aktuálně to comment on the Women for Women initiative at the digital platform Bolt. In her responses, she highlighted the need for safety for both the female drivers themselves and their customers, in the context of gender-based and sexualized violence and its prevalence in the Czech Republic. She also emphasized the importance of the effective transposition of the new European directive on platform work, which fundamentally changes how platforms operate across the EU and includes protections for all workers, not just women.
